Chapter Two. You grow 'em and I tame them
"Stormy, I wish it was that simple but the fact is your Momma is the type of person that would piss down your back and tell you that it's raining. " Stormy got on her hands and knees looking at him with sad puppy dog eyes. Stormy had a longing for adventure and a real passion for her mother's music.
"Come on, it is just six weeks. She seems to have gotten it all together now. Daddy please, please, please let me go see her just for this one summer." The begging about drove our old man crazy. " She has been clean for over a year, she and her boyfriend are renovating the lake house and she is starting to sing at the Country clubs again. I'm excited for her. Why can't you be excited for her too?" After a week of begging our old man threw in the towel. Letting her leave was the biggest mistake he ever made.
My sister left West Virginia a sweet innocent girl who loved to sing music as Roman strummed his Acoustic guitar. Roman and Stormy made a beautiful duo that could light up any room. The two were never the best but you can't deny they turned a head or two. In high school they formed the Hooting Owls raising awareness for environmental issues. The band opened for the mayor's banquets and for small gigs here and there. The rocking five man band even hit the Daily Times once. Stormy was on fire and on her way to make something of herself. In one summer she threw it all away. Drugs took control shattering the last of her broken dreams.
How much can a young girl change in 6 weeks? I thought long and hard while I anticipated waiting for Stormy to arrive home at the end of the summer I worked hard planning her home coming party.
Meanwhile, a studious, grounded Gary sat at a metal table with a Calculus book, hot coffee, a few fuzzy peaches and a double shot of Irish liquor. Gary enjoyed the simple things in life and was filled with anticipation of fresh Georgia summer peaches. Gary appreciated the simple pleasures that gave his life a deeper meaning.
Today, Gary wasn't going to miss a beat. The sky yielded a beautiful blue and the sun was bright hot against his face. A warm gentle breeze blew though Gary's untamed hair. Gary enjoyed a few sips of his afternoon coffee as he heard Stormy's angelic voice, a forgotten but familiar sound. Her high heels tapping across deck floor drove that young man crazy. High heels and sandals were his fetish and my sister played it up. That sound always made his heart go thump. Stormy was singing the chorus to Witchy Woman which brought the truth to the surface. This was her song he thought as her memories pulled him in.
Hungry for more Gary's mouth watered as he gazed across the table at the lonely little fuzzy peach, a simple beauty all on its own. Gary and that peach was in their own world as he firmly placed it in his hands until..... Stormy bought Gary's world to a complete halt. Amazed and confused. Damn!! She wasn't but a shy little girl when she left but now the devil in disguise. His eyes glowed as he nodded at daddy. "Darren, you grow 'em wild. It's my job to tame 'em." Poor daddy about fell over in his seat.
"Gary Boles if you pull this off, it would a damn miracle." Daddy laughed. Stormy was beautiful as she walked through door taking his breath away. High heels, fish net stockings, Daisy Dukes and a white lacy antique white lacy top that accentuated her nice curves. Around her neck laid Gary's blue class ring that matched her mysterious eyes. She was dressed like a wild Saturday night. Stormy had him where she wanted him, scared stiff and he knew it. Gary held his peach close to face as he pondered his next move taking it all in. Hell, he needed a distraction quick. With sweaty palms he brought that peach to his face. That sweet temptation of a peach was aromatic, the scent of sweetness and wild all in one but it was nothing compared to the way she smelled. As Stormy walked a little closer her scent drove him crazy. It wasn't tame like the peach. It tantalized all of his senses. A mixture of musk with a hint of Vanilla. Hell, It tickled his imagination just as the tiny fuzzy peach tickled his lips. Grasping the peach firmly he tried to remember how to speak. His words were slow coming and hanging in thin air. Stormy walked up to him and placed a nice cold can of Miller Light on the back of his neck. Stunned, Gary swallowed hard as he bit into that soft juicy peach. No one could tell if it was juice or droll on his well groomed beard. That poor tiny peach was rendered helpless. Gary's hand was as strong as his heart was weak. What he had was a juicy, sticky, sweet mess. Stormy leaned over to whisper in his ear, DorrisWedding two piece wedding outfits with removable skirt
"Gary Boles looks like you got a mess to clean up."
"Stormy, I wouldn't even know where to start. I am looking at an angel that traded her wings for a broom." That's when it happened. It all started with a long wild kiss on a warm summer's day. Gary Boles was reeled in by the touch of desire. My sister put the wild in him. As she pinched his tight little behind and giggled. "All right now Stormy if you play with my heart you better teach me to be a man." That was the day Gary Boles was bitten by the love bug. They all say love is blind. Gary could see no wrong. The witch had him under her spell. Stormy is going crush him like that innocent little peach trying to coexist in this broken world.
